For athletic directors
Film software your coaches will use, and you can approve.
BenchStats turns your teams’ game film into possessions, stats and the plays behind them. Here’s what it does, what happens to your film and players’ information, and how a school pays.
What it is
BenchStats, in plain terms
A coach uploads a game
Their own game, or an opponent’s game they have the right to use.
BenchStats breaks it down
The game is split into possessions, tagged, and turned into team stats.
Coaches review and scout
Every number opens the plays behind it, so film sessions and scouting take less time.
Why coaches want it: breaking down one game by hand can take a whole evening. BenchStats does the splitting and tagging so the staff’s time goes into coaching. See how coaches use it

What to ask any game-film tool
Ask every vendor these questions. Here are BenchStats’ answers.
| Question to ask | BenchStats |
|---|---|
| Who owns the film once it’s uploaded? | You or your school. Uploading doesn’t transfer ownership. |
| Who can see our film and stats? | Only your program. It isn’t public or sold, and it isn’t shared with other teams unless your staff chooses to. |
| Do players need accounts or give personal information? | No. Players never sign up. Only coaching staff use BenchStats. |
| Is our film used to train the vendor’s software? | No. We never train on your film unless you authorize it, and it isn’t sold or shared with other customers. |
| Can we delete our film, and how quickly? | Yes, any time from the dashboard. A deleted game and its data are removed within 24 hours. |
| Where is it stored, and how is it protected? | In private cloud storage over HTTPS. It will play back only to signed-in members of your school, and other schools won’t be able to see it. |
| Can coaches try it before anyone pays? | Yes. Coaches can try it free on their own film first. |
